Childhelp USA
Childhelp USA® is
one of the largest and oldest national non-profits dedicated to the
treatment and prevention of child abuse and neglect. Since its founding in
1959 by Sara O'Meara and Yvonne Fedderson, the organization has directly
provided help and hope to millions of children and adults whose lives have
been traumatized by child abuse. Childhelp USA® exists to meet the physical,
emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of abused and neglected
children. We do so by focusing our efforts in the areas of treatment,
prevention, and research. Their website offers an abundance of resources
available to those seeking help, access to a national hotline to
report child abuse,
along with information on
what to expect
when you contact them.
Jacob Wetterling
Foundation
The
Jacob Wetterling Foundation is a 501 (c)
(3) non-profit organization. The Foundation was established in February
1990, four months after Jacob Wetterling, then 11 years old, was abducted at
gun-point by a masked man near his home in St. Joseph, Minnesota. Since
then, JWF has worked to find missing children and educate children, teens,
parents, caregivers and teachers about personal safety.

Foundation is a 501 c 3 non-profit, charitable organization founded by
the Kanka family. The foundation wants to ensure that every possible step is
taken to help prevent the future victimization of children. It is their hope

Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information
The National
Clearinghouse on Child Abuse and Neglect Information was established in
1974 by the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act to collect, organize,
and disseminate information on all aspects of child maltreatment. The
National Adoption Information Clearinghouse was established by Congress in
1987 to provide free information on all aspects of adoption. The
Clearinghouses are a service of the Children's Bureau, Administration for
Children and Families, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

The
Safer Society Foundation,
Inc., a nonprofit agency, is a national research, advocacy, and referral
center on the prevention and treatment of sexual abuse. Founded in 1964 as
the Prison Research Education Action Project (P.R.E.A.P.) by Fay Honey Knopp,
P.R.E.A.P. evolved into the Safer Society Program in 1985, and became the
Safer Society Foundation, Inc. in 1995. The Safer Society Foundation, Inc.
provides a variety of services related to the prevention and treatment of
sexual abuse.
