Bicentennial Festival on the Square & Parade

On June 2, 2019, all county residents are invited to celebrate Franklin County’s 200th birthday in Union, Missouri at the Festival on the Historic County Courthouse square.

 

The celebration will include a parade featuring floats and other entries from throughout the county.  Parade start time is 2:00pm.  Crafters/Artisans and food vendors will be set up around the historic courthouse square from 11:30am – 7:00pm. the public is invited to grab a meal at one of the food vendors, shop artisan/craft booths, learn about Franklin County’s history through informational displays and enjoy the White Rose Car Show.

 

The free event is sponsored by the Union Area Chamber of Commerce, the City of Union and the Franklin County Bicentennial Committee.

 

The Union Area Chamber of Commerce and the Franklin County Bicentennial are accepting vendor applications until May 24, 2019.  They are also seeking parade entriesThe parade will include participants from across Franklin County and will run from the Union Fairgrounds, east on West Park Street, South on Washington Avenue to Springfield Avenue, ending at the Elementary School
